Wa Ale Resort

Myeik Archipelago, Myanmar

A remote eco-luxury island retreat in one of the world's last truly wild marine wildernesses

At a glance

Set on a privately owned 5,000-acre island within the Lampi Marine National Park — a designated ASEAN Marine Heritage Park — Wa Ale is one of the most remote and extraordinary retreats in Southeast Asia. Built entirely from reclaimed materials in a protected cove overlooking a pristine beach and dramatic rock formations, this is a place where luxury and conservation sit in genuine harmony.

Fifteen intimate accommodations — eleven Tented Beach Villas, three Treetop Villas and one Beach House — blend into the tropical landscape with care and intention. The Andaman Sea teems with whale sharks, manta rays and dolphins; the island is home to 20 mammal species, over 200 bird species and a significant sea turtle nesting site. For the 2026/27 season, a new swimming pool and expanded River Café dinner service are among the latest additions.

Open 1 November to 30 April. Minimum stay 3 to 4 nights.
