The Lodge

Verbier, Switzerland

Sir Richard Branson's all-inclusive mountain chalet in the Swiss Alps, open for winter skiing and summer adventures

At a glance

The Lodge is Sir Richard Branson's private nine-bedroom chalet in Verbier, perched at 1,500 metres in the Valais region of the Swiss Alps, 250 metres from the Medran lift station. Fully catered and all-inclusive, it is designed to feel like a private home rather than a hotel, with a dedicated team of 16 staff, Michelin-trained chefs, a 24-hour driver service within Verbier, and a full-time spa therapist. Open from December to April for winter and June to September for summer, it can be booked exclusively for sole use, with individual rooms available during selected Hotel Weeks in winter and throughout summer.

For families, The Lodge offers something genuinely rare: a luxury alpine property where everything is handled, the food is exceptional, the setting is spectacular, and children have a dedicated bunkroom and Kids' Club activities of their own. In winter, Verbier's four valleys provide one of the largest skiable areas in the Alps at 400km, with ski instructors arrangeable on request. In summer, the mountains open up for hiking, biking, tennis, swimming and a string of outdoor adventures. The atmosphere throughout is warm, sociable and unhurried.
