At a glance
Sir Richard Branson discovered the property during one of his famous ballooning expeditions and acquired it for the Virgin Limited Edition collection. Each of the 37 rooms, suites, Berber tents and riads has been individually decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings and antiques — many from the collection of the property's former owner — alongside handcrafted textiles made by the local Berber community in collaboration with the Eve Branson Foundation.
Awarded three Michelin Keys by The Michelin Guide 2025, named to the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2025 and featured in TIME's list of the World's Greatest Places, Kasbah Tamadot is a destination that genuinely earns its accolades. For families, the combination of a dedicated Kids' Club, an Animal Palace, a 16th-century kasbah to explore and the dramatic Atlas landscape make it one of the most immersive and memorable family escapes in Africa.
